Now Accepting Campaign Donations

To my friends, early supporters, and anyone else who is interested in seeing a different type of public service campaign in Alabama:

I am humbled to let you know that my campaign for Alabama’s 5th Congressional District is now accepting financial contributions. You can find the “Donate” tab at the top of this page and on this website’s home page. You can also click this link to go directly to my ActBlue donation page.

I believe our state, and this Congressional district in particular, needs responsible, responsive, and respectful leadership. My campaign is being built on contributions from individuals, not corporations, and I’m asking for your support. Thank you!

Informative Meeting in Decatur

My thanks to Indivisible Decatur for extending an invitation to attend Sunday night’s event (6/25) at the Turner-Surles Community Resource Center in Decatur. I finally got to meet Mike Smith, chairman of Alabama 5th Congressional District Democrats (and also Limestone County’s Democratic Party chair). That’s him on the right.

Mike and Tom Ryan, chair of the Madison County Democratic Party, spoke at length about the Democratic Party’s priorities in the 5th Congressional District and statewide. The audience had terrific comments and questions, and I took plenty of notes.

Town Hall Meeting

I’ll be participating in the Monday, June 12, Town Hall meeting in Huntsville, and I’m looking forward to listening to residents’ concerns about current political issues and hearing your ideas about how I might be able to provide better representation for everyone living in Alabama’s 5th Congressional District.

Thank you to the event’s sponsors: Indivisible – Alabama 5th District; Huntsville Madison County NAACP; Huntsville Chapter of SCLC; REACHsv; and North Huntsville Community United for Action.
